Maharaja Surajmal Brij University, Bharatpur is one of Rajasthan's younger state universities — established in 2012 under the Brij University, Bharatpur Act, and renamed two years later, in 2014, to honour Maharaja Surajmal, the 18th-century ruler after whom the region's history is named. In a little over a decade it has grown to affiliate more than 160 colleges, serving over 170,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, with the Governor of Rajasthan as its Chancellor.

What "semester result" means here

There is no single university-wide result date. Each course, semester and college batch is evaluated and published on its own schedule as the examination branch processes it, so it's normal for students at different affiliated colleges — sometimes even the same college — to see results days or weeks apart.

The result on the portal is provisional. Your official marksheet is issued by your college, and for a fast-growing university still building out its administrative capacity, that gap between the online result and the physical document can take longer than at older universities — plan around it if you need the marksheet urgently.

How to check

1. Open msbrijuniversity.ac.in and find the results / examination section.
2. Select your exact course, semester and scheme — MSBU runs both semester and annual patterns depending on the programme.
3. Enter your roll number as printed on your admit card.
4. Save the result as a PDF as soon as it appears.

If a mark looks wrong, or a paper didn't clear

• Rechecking/scrutiny confirms your marks were totalled and recorded correctly — quicker and cheaper.
• Revaluation sends the script to another examiner for a fresh look, at a higher fee, and can move the mark in either direction.
• Both are applied for through your college examination cell, which forwards the request to the university, within the short window announced after each result.
• For a backlog paper, ask your college when the next examination for that subject is scheduled.
