Privacy Policy

ResultIsOut is an independent information service run from India. This page explains exactly what we collect, who we share it with, and how to get it removed. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll answer plainly.
What we never collect
We never ask for, receive or store your roll number, marksheet, date of birth or any personal exam data. Checking a result always happens on the official board or agency portal — we link you there, and that transaction is between you and them. Nothing you type into an official portal passes through us.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
What we collect, and only if you give it

If you email us or use the "request an exam" form, we keep that message so we can act on it.
Cookies and local storage
We use the smallest set we can. Most pages are served from cache with no cookies at all.

You can clear or block all of these in your browser settings. Signing in and result alerts will stop working, but the rest of the site is unaffected.
Advertising
We show ads to keep the site free. Google AdSense is our advertising provider.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time in Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.

If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you'll be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice at any time.

Each of these processes data under its own privacy policy.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it — that stops all result emails and adds you to a suppression list, so you won't be re-added by accident.
- Turn off push notifications in your browser settings, or from your account's notification page.
- Delete your data. Email us and we'll remove your address, your account and anything tied to it. No conditions, no delay beyond the time it takes us to do it.

Children
ResultIsOut publishes information about school and competitive exams, so some of our readers are school students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their email address, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we add a service or change what we collect, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the site.
