Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara traces back to 1881, when Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III founded Baroda College — for decades the only institution offering university-level education in the princely state of Baroda — and later the Kala Bhavan technical institute in 1890. The university itself was formally established on 30 April 1949, under the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda Act, 1949, granted by his grandson, Maharaja Pratapsinhrao Gaekwad, shortly after Baroda's merger into independent India. Unlike most of the large affiliating universities elsewhere in this list, MSU Baroda runs mostly as a single teaching university: around 14 faculties and well over a hundred departments, spread across six campuses (two rural, four urban) covering close to 275 acres, with only a small number of constituent colleges attached. It is also the only university in Gujarat where English is the medium of instruction throughout.
Why a result might not show up yet
Because MSU teaches most of its programmes directly rather than through hundreds of affiliated colleges, results are usually published faculty by faculty and course by course as each examination is evaluated, rather than through one long affiliating chain. Before assuming something is wrong, check the exact faculty and scheme your programme falls under — MSU's faculties (Arts, Science, Commerce, Technology & Engineering, Fine Arts, Family & Community Sciences, and others) each run their own examination calendars.
The result on the portal is provisional. Your marksheet is issued by your faculty office or the university's examination section, typically some weeks later.

If a mark looks wrong, or a paper didn't clear
- Rechecking confirms your marks were totalled and transcribed correctly.
- Revaluation sends the answer script to another examiner for a fresh look, at a higher fee, and can move the mark either way.
- Both are applied for through your faculty's examination office, within the short window announced after each result.
- For a backlog or ATKT paper, check with your faculty office when the next examination for that subject is scheduled.
Before you rely on any of this
We publish result status and official links — we are not the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, and we cannot look up, alter or re-check a result. Faculty-wise release schedules, revaluation fees and backlog timelines are set by the university and do change between cycles. Confirm the current position with your faculty office or the university's examination section.
