Kakatiya University, Warangal was established in 1976 to serve the districts of northern Telangana, and today affiliates several hundred colleges spread across Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam and Adilabad — degree, PG, B.Ed, pharmacy, law and engineering colleges among them. A single semester's results, released through the university's examination branch, therefore roll out across a very large and geographically spread student body.

What "semester result" means here

There's no single university-wide result day. Each course, semester and college batch is evaluated and published on its own schedule, so it's normal for a friend at a different affiliated college — or even a different section of the same course — to see their result before or after you do.

The result on the portal is provisional. Your official marksheet is issued by your college, and colleges typically distribute it a few weeks after the online result — plan around that gap if you need the physical document for an admission or job application.

How to check

1. Open www.kakatiya.ac.in and find the results / examinations section.
2. Select your exact course, semester and scheme — Kakatiya runs both semester and annual patterns depending on the programme, and picking the wrong one is the most common reason a result appears missing.
3. Enter your hall ticket / roll number as printed on your admit card.
4. Save the result as a PDF immediately.

If a mark looks wrong, or a paper didn't clear

• Recounting/rechecking confirms your marks were totalled and recorded correctly — the faster, cheaper option.
• Revaluation sends the script to another examiner for a fresh look, at a higher fee, and can move the mark in either direction.
• Both are applied for through your college examination cell, which forwards the request to the university, within the short window announced after each result.
• For a backlog/supplementary paper, ask your college when the next examination for that subject is scheduled — Kakatiya generally runs these alongside the following regular cycle so you don't lose a full year.
