Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore traces back to 1964, when it was founded as the University of Indore. In 1988 it was renamed after Ahilyabai Holkar, the 18th-century Maratha queen of the Holkar dynasty who ruled Malwa from Indore and is remembered for temple-building, public infrastructure and a reputation for accessible, personal justice. Today it runs around 33 teaching departments and centres across sixteen faculties, affiliates close to 300 colleges across Indore and neighbouring districts, and holds a NAAC A+ accreditation.

Why a result might not show up yet

With close to 300 affiliated colleges under one examination system, DAVV does not release every result on a single day. Each faculty — arts, commerce, science, law, engineering, management and more — is processed and published as its evaluation finishes, so a course in one college can go live days or weeks before the same course elsewhere. Before assuming something is wrong, check the exact semester scheme your programme follows; DAVV runs both semester and annual patterns depending on the course.

The result on the portal is provisional. Your marksheet is issued by your college or the university's exam section, typically some weeks later — plan around that gap if you need the physical document for admission or a job application.

How to check

  1. Open www.dauniv.ac.in and go to the results / examination section.
  2. Select your exact faculty, course and semester.
  3. Enter your roll number as printed on your admit card.
  4. Save the result as a PDF as soon as it appears.

If a mark looks wrong, or a paper didn't clear

  • Rechecking / scrutiny confirms your marks were totalled and transcribed correctly.
  • Revaluation sends the answer script to another examiner for a fresh look, at a higher fee, and can move the mark either way.
  • Both are applied for through your college examination cell, which forwards the request to the university's Controller of Examinations, within the short window announced after each result.
  • For a backlog or ATKT paper, ask your college when the next examination for that subject is scheduled.

Before you rely on any of this

We publish result status and official links — we are not Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, and we cannot look up, alter or re-check a result. Faculty-wise release schedules, revaluation fees and backlog timelines are set by the university and do change between cycles. Confirm the current position with your college examination cell or the university's exam branch.

If anything here is out of date, tell us — corrections jump the queue.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check my DAVV Indore result?
Open the results section on www.dauniv.ac.in, choose your faculty, course and semester, and enter your roll number. Keep a printout or PDF — the official marksheet is issued separately by your college or the university's examination wing.
Why does DAVV go by two names?
The university was set up in 1964 as the University of Indore and was renamed Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in 1988, after Ahilyabai Holkar, the Malwa queen remembered for her administration and public works. Both names still turn up in searches, so results and older certificates may carry either.
Can I apply for revaluation at DAVV Indore?
Yes — scrutiny, rechecking or revaluation applications open for a limited window after each result, with a fee per paper, submitted through your college examination cell to the university's Controller of Examinations. Watch the notices, as the window is usually short.
