What posts do TNPSC Group 2 and 2A cover?
Group 2 covers interview posts such as Assistant Section Officer and Municipal Commissioner; Group 2A covers non-interview posts. Both are filled through the Combined Civil Services Examination-I (CCSE-I), which draws roughly 7–8 lakh applicants.
What is the selection process?
A Preliminary exam, then a Main written exam, followed by an oral test (for Group 2) and certificate verification. Each stage's result is published on tnpsc.gov.in.
