  2. Log in with your registration User ID and password.
  3. Download the scorecard showing your scaled scores and sectional & overall percentiles.

CAT (Common Admission Test) is conducted by the IIMs on a rotating basis and is the primary gateway to MBA/PGP programmes at the IIMs and hundreds of other B-schools, with results at iimcat.ac.in.

CAT is scored by normalisation across exam slots, so your percentile — not your raw score — is what matters. The paper has three sections, each separately timed and separately percentiled:

After the result, IIMs publish shortlists for WAT/GD-PI rounds against their own percentile cut-offs. A strong overall percentile with balanced sectionals typically travels furthest across calls.

When is the CAT 2026 result declared?
CAT is held on the last Sunday of November; the IIM conducting it usually releases the result and scorecards in the first week of January. This page updates the moment it is official.
How is the CAT percentile calculated?
Raw scores are normalised across the two exam slots into scaled scores, which are then converted to percentiles — overall and for each of the three sections. Calls are based on percentile, not raw marks.
What happens after the CAT result?
IIMs and other B-schools release shortlists for WAT/GD-PI rounds based on your percentile, academics and profile. Each institute publishes its own cut-offs and selection criteria.
