Purak pariksha is the Gujarat Board's supplementary exam for SSC (Class 10) and HSC (Class 12), held in June–July with results usually by mid-to-late July.

Eligibility is limited to students who failed a small number of subjects, so the cohort is smaller than the main exam — but for them it decides whether the year counts.
