How to check

  1. Open upessc.up.gov.in and go to the UPTET result section.
  2. Enter your roll number / application number and date of birth.
  3. Check your paper-wise score and qualifying status, then download the scorecard.

UPTET is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission to certify eligibility for teaching posts in Uttar Pradesh — Paper 1 for Classes 1–5 (primary) and Paper 2 for Classes 6–8 (upper primary).

UPTET is one of the largest teacher eligibility tests in the country, with lakhs of candidates each cycle. Responsibility now sits with UPESSC, which also runs UP's TGT/PGT and other teacher recruitment. After the exam an answer key is published for objections, and the final result follows once those are settled.

Qualifying UPTET makes you eligible to apply for UP teacher recruitment — including Super TET for assistant-teacher posts in government primary schools.

A TET pass is the gateway: it does not by itself give you a job, but you cannot be appointed without it.

What does UPTET qualify you for?
UPTET certifies that you meet the eligibility standard to be appointed as a teacher in Uttar Pradesh — Paper 1 for Classes 1–5 (primary) and Paper 2 for Classes 6–8 (upper primary). It is an eligibility test, not a recruitment exam: clearing it makes you eligible to apply, but appointment happens through a separate recruitment process.
When is the UPTET result declared?
Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission publishes the result on upessc.up.gov.in, usually a few weeks after the exam. Objection windows on the answer key normally close before the final result is issued.
Is the UPTET certificate valid for life?
UPTET certificates have been issued with lifetime validity in line with the NCTE decision extending TET validity from seven years to a lifetime. Check the validity printed on your own certificate, as terms have changed across cycles.
